QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the dairy or agricultural sector
- Strong understanding of silage inoculants and ability to discuss technical details confidently with farmers
- Proven success in sales, business development, or territory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in agricultural product sales or related industry is a plus
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product information effectively
- Must reside in one of the specified states (territory-based)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an establish agricultural business who are searching for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join their growing team. This position is fully remote, focused on managing sales within your assigned territory. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for direct sales and distributor partnerships, driving business growth through relationship-building, product promotion, and effective sales execution.
You'll work closely with farmers, distributors, and industry partners to provide knowledgeable support and tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will understand silage inoculants and dairy nutrition, feel confident speaking directly with farmers, and be ready to hit the ground running—providing immediate value with minimal training or ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new customer relationships within assigned territory
- Manage existing client accounts and ensure exceptional service
- Promote and sell the company's product line directly and through distributors
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance goals
