JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established Ag Business located in Indiana who are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Soybean Roasting Operations Manager to oversee operations at our soybean processing and grain handling facility. This role is vital to ensure efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery from harvest to final product. The ideal candidate brings leadership, planning, and communication strengths along with a solid background in agricultural operations. Key Responsibilities

1. Grain Handling & Soybean Roasting Operations
2. Manage daily operations of the grain handling and soybean processing facility, including receiving, storage, roasting, and outbound shipments.
3. Oversee the entire soybean roasting process to ensure consistent quality, throughput efficiency, and adherence to dairy specifications.
4. Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program for all equipment, including grain handling and roasting machinery.
5. Perform regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
6. Maintain detailed maintenance records and coordinate with technicians for repairs and inspections as needed.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment performance or product quality in a timely and effective manner while enforcing site safety protocols.
2. Harvest Delivery Management
3. Coordinate harvest delivery schedules with growers to ensure efficient intake at the facility.
4. Hire, train, and supervise seasonal staff to support increased operational demands during harvest.
5. Monitor and adjust inbound logistics to avoid bottlenecks and maintain smooth operations during peak periods.
6. Track delivery progress and reallocate resources as needed to optimize efficiency and throughput.
7. Run and oversee lab tests on all inbound loads and keep detailed and organized records of all test results.
8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all incoming deliveries, ensuring data integrity for inventory, traceability, and reporting purposes.
3. Production & Delivery Scheduling of Soybean Meal and Corn
4. Develop and manage production schedules based on dairy demand and facility capacity.
5. Coordinate closely with customers and logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of grain products.
6. Track and document all transfer loads to the dairy, ensuring accuracy and traceability of materials moved between facilities.
7. Dispatch trucking operations for outbound deliveries, managing routes, schedules, and carrier communication to ensure on-time shipments.
8. Monitor inventory levels of both raw materials and finished products; forecast future needs to minimize downtime and maintain steady production.
