Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a long-established Eastern Nebraska agricultural operation in their search for a Seed Sales & Agronomy Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly self-motivated individual who enjoys working directly with growers, building customer relationships, and operating independently within a progressive seed and agronomy operation. This position will be responsible for seed sales, seed treating, customer support, and day-to-day operational responsibilities while working closely with area producers and assisting with agronomic needs as they arise. Job Description

The Seed Sales & Agronomy Specialist will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day seed sales operations while working directly with local growers to provide strong customer service, seed recommendations, and operational support. This is a highly independent role requiring a self-motivated individual capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local growers and customers
- Handle seed sales and customer support activities
- Assist customers with seed recommendations and general agronomy support
- Coordinate and assist with seed treating operations
- Manage day-to-day seed shed operations and organization
- Work independently while coordinating with ownership and support staff as needed
- Maintain strong communication and customer service with area producers
- Assist with additional agronomy and operational duties as needed
- Help maintain a positive, professional image within the agricultural community

Job Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer relationship skills
- General agronomy knowledge and understanding of crop production systems
- Strong work ethic and dependable personality
- Ability to operate in a highly self-directed role
- Willingness to assist in all aspects of the operation as needed
Preferred:
- Seed sales experience
- Agronomy degree or agronomy-related background
- Experience treating seed
- Experience working directly with growers
- Understanding of local cropping practices and crop inputs
- Experience in customer-facing agricultural sales or service roles
- Recent ag graduate with strong agronomy interest and maturity may be considered
