JOB TITLE: SALES AGRONOMIST / SEED SALES

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agronomy or Ag-related degree preferred
- Employer will also consider 2-3 years providing agronomic recommendations
- 2-3 years of Ag Sales or related experience a MUST
- Excellent knowledge of Midwestern crops, crop production, Ag technology, and best agronomic practices used within region
- Efficient Time Manager who is performance-driven and self-directed with ability to excel in the sale of Seed as well as other inputs such as plant nutritionals, Ag chemicals, and biologicals
- Effective Communicator with ability to develop/maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective clientele
- Experienced with Ag-based software applications
- Clean driving record with valid CDL and Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain
- Currently located in north central to northwest Kansas or looking to relocate back to his area of Kansas
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an long-established Ag Retailer looking to hire an experienced Sales Agronomist / Seed Salesperson to sell within a north central to northwestern Kansas sales territory. Ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with Ag Growers to scout their crops and make solid agronomic recommendations with regard to Seed, plant nutritionals, biologicals, and crop protection products. Primary responsibility is providing sound agronomic advice to an existing and prospective Ag grower customer base resulting in profit for the customer as well as for the company. Additional duties to include:
- Managing your own schedule and working remotely
- Conducting sales presentations, product demonstrations, and developing sound sales proposals
- Developing/Maintaining an existing base of Ag grower customers as well a prospective customers
- Creating/Implementing sales plans including writing up contracts that meet company sales and growth targets
- Remaining informed of latest Agronomy/Crop trends, market conditions, and competitive products
- Maintaining up-to-date inventory records to ensure timely delivery of seed and other products based on customers' needs as well as accurate customer billing for timely payments
- Keeping facilities and warehouse clean and orderly
- Preparing timely sales reports
