QUALIFICATIONS:
 

- Minimum of 5 years of ranch operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- Animal husbandry (cow-calf, breeding, herd health).
- Range management.
- Irrigated hay crop production.
- Machinery operation and maintenance.
- General good ranching practices.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification or willingness to become certified within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in a related field (Ag Business, Animal Science, Range Management, etc.).



JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Ranch Foreman for this large Wyoming Ranch. The Foreman will oversee daily ranch operations, staff supervision, and herd/crop management. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong livestock and crop production knowledge, and the ability to coordinate activities efficiently across ranch operations. Direct and supervise ranch staff, ensuring work is performed safely and effectively. Manage cattle inventories, calving, feeding, supplementation, and herd health. Oversee irrigated hay production, including planting, irrigation, harvesting, and crop rotation. Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports for management review. Identify operational issues and work with management to implement solutions. Coordinate with other units to maximize efficiency. Hire, train, and evaluate ranch employees. Communicate regularly with upper management on ranch activities, issues, and progress.
