QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good knowledge of and experience with cows and calves a must
- Good animal health skills, calving, pasture rotation, weed control, rations, winter feeding, etc.
- Operating loader, tractors, bale processor, skid-steers and other equipment around the ranch
- Handle routine maintenance and general repairs to fencing, waters, farm equipment, and general maintenance around the ranch
- Honest, good decision maker, communicator, team player, and self-motivated/self-starter are all a must
- A college degree is a plus, but experience with a solid and verified work history is better
- Take pride in their work and the ranch location
- Good attitude and hardworking required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is in search of a solid Ranch Unit Foreman for this Nebraska Cow Producer. Ranch is split up into units and this Unit Foreman will be responsible for 600-800 cows. Duties will include calving, fencing, AI projects and heat checks. Person must be dependable, have good decision-making skills, be a self-starter, and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation as needed. Hours can be flexible for family time except during calving and sale time, or other peak times. Ideally, the employer would like to see someone that has 5+ years of cow/calf ranch experience who can bring some leadership skills and good knowledge of the cows. Plus if person has experience with detailed record keeping. This Foreman would manage this unit and assist with other ranch locations and duties, as needed. Rural living, so need family wanting that lifestyle. Convenience isn't Convenient here. Good schools and a great place to raise a family. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, stability, and references provided.
