QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prefer 2-5 years of experience in a lead position on a progressive ranch
- Solid ranch background with verifiable experience
- Excellent animal health skills from diagnosis to treatment of cattle
- Practical experience with herd management, nutrition, equipment and property maintenance, rotational grazing, and management are needed
- Organized, self-starter, and attention to detail with high integrity with good communications skills
- Professional demeanor and manners when communicating with others
- Experience in rotational grazing using warm season dominant, mid and tall grasses in Nebraska Panhandle is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an outstanding Ranch Manager for this progressive Nebraska ranch operation. Person will need solid day-to-day ranch operations experience along with very good people management skills. The experience and ability to manage people, is as important as their ability to manage cows. Prefer 10 years of experience in the ranch industry and 2-5 years in a lead position on a progressive ranch or ranch unit. Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day ranch operations from fixing fence, to moving cattle, to overseeing large cow herd. This is a "WORKING MANAGER POSITION". Manager will have direct husbandry duties including; selection, feeding, doctoring, hay production oversight, equipment operations, equipment maintenance, windmills and solar wells, etc. Need to be high-energy and have the ability to finish the job in a timely manner. Practical experience with equipment and ranch property maintenance and overall management is preferred. Great location for a family with a nice 3 bedroom/2 bath home on ranch, that includes buildings and corrals for your personal horses and is close to the school bus route to town for the kids and excellent opportunity for spouse to find employment in the area.
