JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a well-qualified Assistant Ranch Manager In-Training for this California ranch operation. Must have good cow experience and A.I. breeding experience would be a BIG plus, though not required. Main focus of this position is working with the cows, but need a person who can work in all areas of the operation. Need to have experience in breeding, calving, feeding, doctoring, etc. Need to be able to work well with other people, have a strong work ethic and really prefer candidate to have some previous supervisory experience. Will be working longer hours during calving and heat detecting. Must be dependable and reliable and able to take direction from management. Will be responsible for pasture counts and maintaining fence and general upkeep of the ranch. There will be some riding in this position, but most of it's done on ATV. Need to be able to assist in all the day-to-day operations. Really prefer person who has experience running some equipment for a ranch. Need to be able to feed. Current Manager is retiring and would like to hire person who can work under Manager during transitional period.
