QUALIFICATIONS:

- Looking for a self-starter with an interest in production agriculture; knowledge & experience in pivot maintenance a must
- Prefer at least 2+ years of full time experience or educational training preferred
- Experience in taking lead on working with pivot irrigation of 30+ units to oversee maintenance schedules as well as operation during the season
- Any additional farming or agronomy experience is a plus
- Having a CDL not required, but a good driving record with the ability to drive a tractor/trailer a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to see the big picture and take initiative to do the job without being told
- Work with additional employees as a team in a safe and productive manner while displaying honesty and integrity
- Agronomy skills, scouting fields, irrigation rates, timing, water, knowledge of chemigation, and fertilization all a bonus and huge plus on salary evaluation to be determined

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a strong Pivot Technician for a large South Dakota Farm. This family farm is looking for an applicant with pivot experience who is to jump in and assist wherever and when needed but will have the responsibility of overseeing the irrigation of 30+ pivots. Lots of upward movement and advancement available for the employee with the right attitude, work ethic, and increased responsibilities going forward. Nice, heated & air-conditioned shop. One needs to be willing to assist in other areas as needed following irrigation season, depending on experience and skill set, even if it is hauling grain during harvest and winter contracts that need delivered. Fair wages are paid as salary will depend on experience, stability, and references and subject to performance bonus and annual reviews and open to negotiation to start. Location is close to a town with a strong school district and bus service. Great location for spouse to find work if looking. Their employee that is retiring has been there for 20+ years so they are looking for that next employee with great longevity for 10-20+ years.
