QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of experience in logistics in working with dispatch of trucks, transportation industry, or as a driver in a management capacity of working with loads across PNW preferred
- Experience in transportation, preferable knowledge in agriculture, DOT regulations, and driver qualifications is helpful
- Must be familiar with computer technology to track progress of drivers throughout the day and prepare/send freight confirmations as required
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and multitasking needed
- Experience with price negotiating, freight rates, and project bidding preferred
- Positive attitude, punctual, respected and friendly, ability to cold call with a desire to work in a fast pace environment that is continually on the move

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Agriculture based business in their search for a Manager of Truck Logistics / Dispatcher for their Washington location. This individual is responsible for monitoring freight loads, reviewing required shipments, prioritizing deliveries, coordinating logistic information among upper management and teams on the farm. Needs to be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and email with strong communication skills Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment of multitasking of projects simultaneously with excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills while managing people. Depending on the season, but July through November will be working with 40+ trucks and multiple trailers. The area is a great location to raise a family, good schools, and good roads to larger cities are just a short distance away.
