Hansen AGRI-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified hand-on Farm Manager for this well-established, multi-generational cut flower operation to oversee day-to-day production and operations. This is a unique opportunity to step into a long-running, turnkey floral production business and take a leadership role in managing all aspects of the farm. The Farm Manager will be responsible for the full scope of daily farm operations, including crop production, greenhouse management, irrigation, and seasonal labor oversight. This individual will work closely with ownership but will be expected to operate independently and take full ownership of the operation. Prefer 3+ years of experience in farming, horticulture, or market gardening Strong knowledge of crop production and seasonal planning Experience managing teams or supervising labor Ability to operate farm equipment and work outdoors in all conditions Preferred: Experience with cut flower production (highly preferred) Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse/high tunnel production. Background in small farm scaling or startup environments Interest in sustainable or regenerative practices

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of cut flower production from planting through harvest
  • Manage and coordinate seasonal part-time employees
  • Monitor and maintain crop health, yields, and quality
  • Operate and manage irrigation systems (drip irrigation)
  • Oversee greenhouse production and propagation
  • Plan and execute planting schedules and crop rotation
  • Maintain equipment, grounds, and overall farm organization
  • Assist with ongoing operational improvements and efficiencies

 

Qualifications

  • Prefer strong background in:
    • Horticulture, specialty crops, or greenhouse production, OR
    • Production agriculture with willingness to adapt to floral crops
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day farm operations independently
  • Experience supervising employees or seasonal labor
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a hands-on work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to seasonal demands and workload fluctuations

  • Seasonal labor support in place (~3 part-time employees during peak)
