QUALIFICATIONS:

- Really need experience reading and understanding bunks
- 2-5 years industry experience and an all-inclusive knowledge of the cattle feeding industry
- Good animal health & feeding experience along with strong equipment maintenance background preferred
- Willingness to act as backup in any of the other departments as needed
- Experience operating equipment, while respecting safety of people, livestock, and maintenance of equipment is required
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are required
- Bilingual a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer Experience


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Feedyard Foreman responsible for day-to-day feedyard operations in Nebraska. The yard foreman will oversee 10-12 full-time employees. Need to have excellent skills pertaining to Animal Health, Bunk Management and Equipment Maintenance. The job requires a good attitude and to be a good communicator. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and the ability to get the job done. Responsibilities include reading bunks, calling feed, scheduling feed loads, feed ingredient processing and inventory, animal health, receiving and shipping cattle, cattle processing, equipment maintenance, manure management, improvement, and project management, maintaining weekend work schedules. This is a middle management position that will communicate with upper management on prioritizing tasks and crews.

This is a working foreman position, the foreman will be working with each team on a day-to-day basis.
