QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prefer 3+ years industry experience and good knowledge of the cattle feeding industry
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Good communication and leadership skills are required
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Valid driver license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Cattle Manager for this Nebraska feedyard. Need person who has good people skills and preferably someone who has managed people. Oversee employees including Receivers, Doctors, Penriders, and Processors. Need a strong animal health background; spot, diagnose and treat. Must have good cattle skills and a strong feedlot background as this position will be hands-on. Assist weighing fat cattle and tracking cattle inventories as well. Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with other department heads in order to work towards optimum results. Need to be a problem solver and be able to do it in a positive manner. Searching for a real “standup” kind of person. Nice location where spouse can find good employment opportunities and kids have good schools and sports options.
