QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prefer good crop production experience, along with good equipment operations and equipment maintenance
- Work well with others and prefer some experience supervising others
- Need to know crops production, equipment operations and equipment maintenance
- Committed, loyal and honest
- Self-starter, hardworking and have good attitude, with willingness to jump in and assist where needed
- Won't need CDL, but will need experience operating tractor/trailer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good "Right-Hand Man" Farm Assistant for this South Dakota crops producer. Looking for the owners "right-hand-man". This is very much a hands-on position and need person who can manage a small crew at times. Person will assist with all crop production during growing season. Need to have crop production experience for planting through harvesting and handle routine maintenance and general repairs. Run Bean and Corn Planter, Combine, etc. Cattle knowledge preferred but more than anything just be willing and able to help with cattle. Need to have a good attitude and someone who wants to be there for the farm and not just a paycheck. Duties to include machinery operation for planting, cultivating and harvesting of crops. Also, should be able to repair and maintain farm vehicles and implements. When operating equipment, need to be able to observe and listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions. Some welding experience is a preferred and will need some truck driving experience. All semi driving is local, hauling grain. Rural living with lots of fishing and hunting.
