QUALIFICATIONS:

- AAS or BS University degree or equivalent in mechanics is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Managing and maintaining company's fleet of agricultural and/or construction equipment
- Manage the maintenance personnel placed in his/her department
- Managing inventory, which includes ordering sufficient parts and consumables to maximize efficiency of machinery and limit equipment downtime
- Communicate with Farm Managers to organize and implement maintenance schedules and service intervals for all machinery as required
- Ability to communicate, mentor, and train employees under their supervision, developing the best performance from each employee
- Coordinate and communicate with farm managers on equipment repairs in workshop and in the field of any delays or concerns
- Ability to prioritize work scheduling as demanded on the farming operations
- Manage and keep workshop area and stores facility clean and safe for the efficient operation, thus adhering to company protocols, H&S Culture, and working practices
- Manage and train staff to operate in a safe, professional and timely manner
- Keep accurate service and maintenance records for all machinery and equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced Farm Workshop Manager for this California Farm. Need to find a person that has a strong maintenance and mechanical background. Ability to manage the workshop and maintenance requirements of the organization effectively and efficiently. Manage employees under their supervision to ensure all equipment and machinery are maintained to company standards and protocol while working with the farm managers and maintaining strong communication. The job demands good personnel management and organizational skills with a working knowledge of agricultural machinery. Willing to serve as a technical advisor on key projects and other areas of the business as requested. Operation recently built a new shop in the last few years, so the work environment is better than most.
