QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of work experience on a farming operation with small to medium sized equipment
- Able to do all day-to-day maintenance and repairs
- Experience with both ag equipment and heavy equipment as the farm has traditional farm equipment, track hoes and land leveling equipment
- Equipment operation during busy field times and assisting in the shop during slow times in the field
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong communication and writing skills in English are a must
- Any experience with rice farming will be a strong plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced Farm Hand to assist the Irrigator and Shop Supervisor on this California rice farm. Current manager has been on the job for 52 years and closing in on retirement. Wanting to bring key individual or individuals in that are looking for a long-term position that will have the ability to eventually step into promotion of higher-level positions and those of responsibility as positions will be vacated over the next few years due to retirement. Nice, well equipped farm shop with multiple bays and doors for multiple projects at any given time, cooled and heated for comfort. Most equipment is newer, so more maintenance than anything, major engine or electrical will go back to dealer for repair. Need someone experienced with ag equipment, and heavy equipment as well as operation of said equipment. Assist Irrigator with projects of pipe installation, Weir installs/removal, flooding and draining fields. Great location with good school options for family and work available for a spouse if so desired. Farms equipment is well above average in condition, cleanliness, and kept in working order. E.O.E while pay will depend upon experience, stability, and references. Hiring will include background checks and follow up with all references.
