QUALIFICATIONS:

- Current farm and ranch experience
- Up to date row crop experience with corn, Milo, and Sudan/Cane for forage in addition to growing Wheat and Alfalfa Hay across their acres using modern equipment
- Solid cow/calf experience, working with AI would be a plus
- Experience with agronomy, soil health, and crop scouting in addition to experience running a planter or sprayer would all be a huge plus
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and treat sick cattle
- Strong communication skills, work ethic, and a good attitude are a must while keeping things organized and tidy around the shop
- Ability to work independently as well as knowing the value of teamwork
- Mechanically inclined with some welding skills, strong maintenance skills, and the ability to mend fences as needed
- Experience with driving a truck, clean insurable driving record, and CDL would be a plus, but 95% of hauling is in the 150-mile radius of the farm

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a Farm/Ranch Assistant for a diverse farm and cattle operation in Nebraska. This employer seeks someone with good communication skills to join the owners as a team. 3-5 years of experience in both farming and cattle is preferred, but willing to do some training for the right person who has solid experience in some areas such as farm and wants to learn more about cattle, or cattle experience and learn more about farming. Would like to see someone who has a positive attitude. Someone who is forward-thinking and willing to be diverse so they can jump in and assist wherever is needed during peak demands and/or the ability to work alone with the farm/cattle if left alone. The operation is in a great location with options for being part of a great school system. Salary will be determined by experience you bring to the table along with stability and references. Willing to work with either salary or hourly wages.
