Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified and experienced Farm Mechanic for a large, progressive crop operation located in Idaho. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled individual to work with a well-established operation that relies on properly maintained equipment to support efficient day-to-day farming activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with diesel and gas engines and be capable of handling a wide range of mechanical responsibilities. This individual will play a key role in keeping all farm equipment and vehicles operational and field-ready, especially during peak seasons. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities

·       Diagnose and repair diesel engines, agricultural equipment, and gasoline-powered vehicles

·       Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, and fluid checks

·       Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and fuel systems

·       Maintain service schedules to ensure all equipment is operational and ready when needed

·       Keep accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance documentation

·       Assist with ordering, organizing, and maintaining parts inventory

·       Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and is properly maintained

·       Provide support across general farm operations as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

·       Strong diesel and gas mechanical background

·       Experience working with agricultural equipment and heavy machinery

·       Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues independently

·       Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

·       Welding and fabrication experience preferred

·       Certified diesel technician background preferred (not required)

·       Experience with small engines and farm vehicles

·       Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

·       CDL or other relevant certifications a plus

·       Commitment to safety and proper equipment handling
