QUALIFICATIONS:

- Need to have 5+ years of management and supervision experience in a leadership role of working with 5+ employees.
- Solid communication skills, record keeping, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to build and work as a team while supervising as a hands-on "working" manager
- Experience working with corn silage, haylage, sudan, & other forage crops in the utilization of both open bunker and bagging systems
- Knowledge of soil fertility in the use of and managing fertilizer & herbicide applications.
- Experience with dairy manure management and application
- Mechanical skills, welding, and fabrication are a plus, and must have the capability to maintain service schedules for equipment maintenance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is in search of a strong working Farm Manager who will be overseeing the forage operations for a dairy operation in Florida. Crops consist of irrigated corn silage, Sudan, and winter annuals, in addition to grass hay that is green chopped and bagged for the dairy operation. The Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing 5+ individuals at peak times to ensure the crop is harvested. We also utilize outside contractors as needed to ensure that everything is completed in a timely manner. The Farm Manager is responsible for irrigation, chopping, and building silage piles, as well as applying manure to fields as needed.
