QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- Good experience operating row crop equipment
- Experience with modern farming practices
- Hardworking, team player, good communicator, self-starter, high morals, good ethics, motivated, and honest
- General equipment maintenance experience is needed
- Feedlot Cattle experience preferred but need at least a willingness to jump in and assist with the cattle when needed, that is a must

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Farm/Feedyard Assistant for this South Dakota farm and livestock producer. Prefer row crop farming experience. Strong farming skills with a focus on machinery operations and maintenance, and crop production, but also willing to assist with the feedlot as needed. This is a diversified operation, and a person needs to be willing to jump in and help where and when needed, which includes feeding in morning and then focusing in crop production operations. This is a progressive operation that will provide a family-friendly atmosphere with balance. Options for a spouse who is seeking employment or wanting to stay home with the kids. The farm wants to find a solid long-term, committed farm assistant to add to the team. The area has great schools with options between public or private. Wages and benefits will be negotiated and considered open for the right person. Willing to train person who is well rounded in Ag, who has good attitude, hardworking and has a true interest on the farm, but also wants to speak with the most experienced individuals as well. Wages are dependent on overall experience, skill set, stability, and references. All semi driving is local, hauling grain. Rural living with lots of fishing and hunting. Excellent opportunity for long-term employment, along with excellent opportunities for advancements. This is a very progressive operation and need person who can take on responsibility.
