QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in farming or agriculture-related roles is preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• CDL or willingness to obtain one for semi-truck operation. Clean DMV record is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a private pesticide license.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Have good communication skills and be a team player.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Good Mechanical and maintenance skills are needed and any additional skills of welding, fabrication, carpentry or electrical would be a bonus
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Willing to train highly competent young people with good mechanical skills and solid references.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a solid farm equipment operator on this central Iowa Farm. This farm consists mostly of Corn & soybeans, but it also works with both seed corn and seed beans. Tasks may include but are not limited to, planting, application, tendering, maintenance, and general farm labor. We also do much of our own scouting, seed corn work, harvest operations, to driving a truck in harvest & hauling grain. We are willing to work with, train, and expand your knowledge and skills if you have a good attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire to succeed. This employer is looking for those who want a career in Agriculture with stable, long-term employment. The farm is flexible in the off-season depending on the individual's skills and/or likes, either assisting with trucking, grain handling, field maintenance, farm building and machinery maintenance. Wages will depend upon experience, stability, and references. Great location to raise a family.
