QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of current large farm equipment experience needed. Applicator experience would be a plus.
- Agronomy degree or Ag Degree is a plus
- Ability to read product mix recommendations and accurate measurements and tank-mix products with relative ease
- Need complete understanding of chemical labels, MSDS sheets, Washington State and Federal laws involving correct application
- Will need to obtain Washington Pesticide Applicators License and maintain recertification credits if from out of state.
- Organize, track chemical and fertilizer used in various fields, as well as inventory at the warehouse
- Utilize and operate VRT, GPS guidance systems, and application software
- Maintain the facility and repair equipment in a safe and dependable operating condition, which enhances operational efficiency and product quality
- Work extended hours during the busy season, with the ability to direct and monitor work of seasonal help as needed
- Strong farm equipment operation in support roles during planting and harvest seasons
- Ability to lift 50 lbs to load agricultural products into trucks and application equipment
- Solid work ethic, good communication skills, record keeping skills, team player as well as work independently
- Wanting long-term career-minded individual with a passion for agriculture
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a qualified individual for this eastern Washington farming operation. The operation consists of growing wheat, canola, grass seed, and alfalfa at present. Looking for a strong equipment operator who is a hardworking team player, and has pride in their work. Employer offers a great working environment with long-term opportunities. Need someone with a better than average skill set in operating and maintaining equipment with a continued desire to learn and better themselves. A strong agronomic/farm background with a passion for continuing to learn soils, drainage, fertilizers, chemicals, insects and diseases, crop rotation, and weed control are all a plus. This individual needs to keep up on paperwork and inventory and be contentious on record keeping where needed. The area is a great place to raise a family, good schools, and a reasonable distance to Spokane for shopping and entertainment as needed.
