QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 years of experience in mechanics and 3+ years of working with combines.
- Mechanic Certification is a plus. Any additional areas of experience & skill set with electrical, hydraulics, and other mechanical areas is a bonus.
- Ability to dismantle machines or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective parts and repair back to spec.
- Observes machines or equipment while in operation to diagnose any malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
- Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of any malfunction. Maintain and lubricate machine all equipment and keeping detailed records.
- Ability to work independently without supervision but also work as part of a team having strong communication.
- Diagnose and repair highly complex mechanical problems such as: total rebuild of combines or harvesters, repairing/new wiring harness.
- Identify potential mechanical problems and react appropriately, while determining correct parts and supplies required to make repairs on equipment.
- Must have own tools & willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays) during harvest season.
- Have the ability to lift 75 pounds as required without assistance.
- Willing to work in tough weather conditions (heat, rain, humidity, cold, dry, dusty conditions) during harvest season/ shop during non-harvest season.

Employer is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join their professional team working out a large shop facility. Need the ability to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, fine-tune, and make safe and timely repairs to ensure functional operation of their fleet of combines that are used in their large diverse farming operation of several crops including dry beans, peas, corn, wheat, potatoes, onions and barley.
