QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2-3 years farm equipment operation experience a must
- Need general equipment operation experience and skills, prefer plant to harvest experience
- Additional skills such as spraying, application, variable rate electronics, agronomy scouting will be considered a plus
- Semi driving experience a plus, need clean DMV record, will need to be willing and able to get a CDL if you don't have one, currently not needed on farm plates
- Hardworking, team player, self-starter, high morals, good ethics, and honest characteristics
- General equipment maintenance, mechanics, fabrication, welding skills, and having the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solving are all a plus
- Willing to train or assist someone in expanding their skill sets if they want to expand basic operations to planting, spray application, or other skill sets

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a well-qualified Farm Assistant for an operation in central Nebraska. The majority of work will be done while working independently as the farm is a bit of spread out, specially when checking on irrigation during the summer. Balance of work may shift, pending on skill set & experience of future candidates hired. The main focus for the employee will be farming operations from planting to irrigation, and harvest. Looking for that person who is easy to work with, but also dependable to take the extra step and complete the task at hand. A person who is willing to jump in and help where and when needed. This is a progressive operation that can provide a family-friendly atmosphere; they try to take most all Sundays off for the hired help and most weekends during slower times. The equipment is mostly all green, and current as they expanded recently from 16 row to 24 row JD High-Speed planter. Currently, feel they want to go from two, and add a third person as they continue to grow and expand each year. Salary will be negotiated and depends on education, experience, stability, and references will be considered. If you are looking for long-term employment, this employer is not against in providing farm equipment. If one wants to rent some additional acres to farm could be included for the right individual who has a passion for agriculture and looking to get started himself farming.
