QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- Strong experience with agricultural and heavy equipment
- High mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair complex systems
- Planting through harvest experience preferred
- Experience with late-model farm equipment
- Familiarity with grain handling systems, including elevators, bins, and dryers
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- CDL preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain CDL
- Experience operating semi tractor-trailers is a plus
- Strong communication skills; dependable, responsible, and safety-minded
- Ability to take direction while also anticipating and solving problems proactively

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Farm Maintenance & Operations Lead to serve as the right-hand person to a progressive Montana crop producer. This individual will play a key role in keeping the operation running efficiently, with primary responsibility for equipment maintenance and repairs and secondary involvement in crop production and equipment operation.

The ideal candidate is proactive, forward-thinking, and capable of addressing a wide range of mechanical and operational needs. This position offers long-term stability, a strong future with the operation, and a family-friendly work environment in a good rural community.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on farm and heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, braking, engine, and powertrain systems
- Coordinate and order parts as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop
- Assist with equipment operation during planting through harvest as needed
- Support overall farm maintenance and infrastructure needs
- Work independently and collaboratively to address day-to-day operational challenges

Position Focus
This role is maintenance-first, with primary emphasis on equipment repair and shop management. Crop production and fieldwork are secondary responsibilities, particularly during peak seasons.
