QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good swine and row crop production background preferred
- Good equipment operations and maintenance skills
- Need to be a self-starter, see the big picture and work as a team
- Able to take direction and take on responsibility
- Good communication skills
- Need good Swine health skills
- Having a CDL is a big plus or the ability to get and maintain a CDL is needed

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Farm/Swine Assistant for this Nebraska farm production operation. This employer needs to find a person who is diversified in both crop and swine production. The ideal person would have a strong crop and swine production background, able to run a planter and do all phases of farming; planting through harvest and have a swine production background for their hog finishing. Will work with someone that is strong in one of the areas and willing to learn and develop in the other area. Hogs are fed on contract. All grain is hauled from the field and also to the elevator by the farm s own semis. A person needs to be a self-starter and have the initiative to complete assigned tasks, keep records current, and move on to the next task without having to be told. Owner is searching for a good self-motivated person for this family-friendly environment. This position is a good opportunity for a person to grow and be a long-term employee. Owner did say if he can find a person who wants to only work on the crop side of operation or if they only want to work on the swine side of the operation, he accommodates those candidates too.
