QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in farming with plant to harvest experience is preferred. Operation of a sprayer is a plus.
• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• CDL or willingness to obtain one for semi-truck operation. Clean DMV record is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a private pesticide license for Kansas if you don't have one.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Have good communication skills and be a team player.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Good Mechanical and maintenance skills are needed and any additional skills of welding, fabrication, carpentry or electrical would be a bonus


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a solid farm assistant / equipment operator on this Kansas Family Farm. This farm consists mainly of Corn & Wheat with around 1000 acres under irrigation. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, planting, application, tendering, maintenance, and general farm labor. We also do much of our own scouting, harvest operations, to driving a truck in harvest & hauling grain. We are willing to work with, train, and expand your knowledge and skills if you have a good attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire to succeed. This employer is looking for those who want a career in Agriculture with stable, long-term employment. The farm is flexible in the off-season, depending on the individual's skills and/or likes, assisting with trucking, grain handling, and machinery maintenance. Farm does also have a small cow/calf operation, but main duties will be farm related. Wages will depend upon experience, stability, and references. Great location to raise a family with good schools and opportunity for a spouse to also find work if needed.
