QUALIFICATIONS:

- Farm experience with large equipment a must, raising spring/winter wheat, peas, & barley all a plus
- Cow/Calf experience with care, feeding, & strong animal health skills is a plus
- Hay and Equipment Operation along with regular maintenance needed
- Mechanical aptitude along with problem-solving is preferred & needed
- Capable of thinking on your own two feet and providing a solution
- Strong in communication and working both independently and as a team
- Tractor/Trailer experience with clean DMV record for hauling grain is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a primary Farm Assistant for this northern Montana location to care for 300+ Angus pairs. The operation also has around 8,000 acres of winter & spring wheat, peas, & some hay barley. Looking for someone with a good attitude, strong communication, and who gets along with others while working in a diverse operation of both crops & livestock. Experience in farming and working with small grains and maintenance is preferred over a “cowboy”, but ideal is someone who is willing to assist and jump in when needed would have preference. Great opportunity for a family as the position comes with a house, small shop, and utilities provided. Possible for kids to be active in both 4H & FFA along with a great school. Possible for the right person to invest in and run some cows after the first year.
