Summary:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced industry leader to oversee procurement, marketing, risk management, and performance across ~25 cattle yards. This role will drive buying strategy, grid marketing, and overall profitability while leading multiple yard teams.

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure feeder cattle aligned with market strategy
• Execute grid marketing programs and maximize carcass value
• Manage futures hedging and risk mitigation strategies
• Oversee performance of multiple cattle yards and leadership teams
• Monitor cost of gain, closeouts, and overall yard profitability
• Ensure animal health protocols and veterinary coordination
• Oversee GAP compliance and Natural cattle programs
• Analyze market conditions, breakevens, and performance data

Qualifications:

• 20+ years of cattle feeding, procurement, or livestock experience preferred
• Strong background in grid marketing and packer negotiations
• Knowledge of futures markets and hedging strategies
• Experience managing multi-location operations and teams
• Solid financial and performance analysis skills
