QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a dairy or agricultural setting
- Strong skills in electrical systems, welding (MIG/TIG preferred), plumbing, and mechanical repair
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
- Basic understanding of dairy milking equipment and sanitation requirements is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large modern dairy operation located in Wisconsin who is searching for a skilled Parlor Maintenance Technician to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of milking systems, cooling systems, milk tanks, and other critical parlor equipment across three on-site parlors. The right candidate is mechanically inclined, electrically savvy, and able to weld and fabricate as needed. This is a vital role to ensure the daily operation of high-volume milking processes runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all milking parlor equipment, including pulsators, vacuum systems, pumps, milk meters, and sanitary pipelines
- Perform routine checks on cooling systems and milk storage tanks to ensure optimal function and sanitation
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures in real-time during milking operations
- Handle welding, metal fabrication, and general facility maintenance as needed
- Work closely with herd and parlor managers to coordinate equipment repairs and downtime
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and work with vendors for replacement ordering
- Ensure all systems comply with regulatory and food safety standards
- Be available for emergency repairs and on-call support when required
