JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a qualified Dairy Manager for a large California dairy. This individual will oversee daily operations, focusing on cow health, safety, team leadership, and equipment maintenance. The role requires a proactive approach to animal welfare and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support daily operations across milking, feeding, and calf care
- Supervise and train teams; manage scheduling and workflow
- Maintain accurate herd records and report KPIs
- Oversee cow health programs, vaccinations, and lactation group management
- Coordinate with parlor, feeder, and calf crews
- Ensure proper equipment use and maintenance
- Collaborate with nutritionist to implement rations
- Uphold high safety and animal welfare standards

Physical Demands:
- Must lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks such as sorting cows and calving
- Able to stand/walk on concrete or dirt for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varied weather conditions and with large animals
