JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a dairy located in Idaho who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barn Manager to oversee their parlor and barn operations. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of one of the dairy's barns, ensuring the health and welfare of the herd, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily milking operations, ensuring protocols are followed for milk quality and animal welfare. Manage a milking team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee feeding programs, ensuring proper nutrition for optimal health and production. Maintain barn cleanliness. Monitor herd health, identify any issues, and take appropriate action. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment and ensure regular maintenance of machinery. Implement and maintain records of production. Collaborate with farm management to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and productivity.
