QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year Bachelor degree preferred; will also consider equivalent years of experience
- Minimum 3 years of Credit and Collections experience
- Agricultural background preferred
- Experienced in use of AgVance software beneficial
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid organizational and time-management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and while dealing with urgent issues in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
- Computer proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Self-directed with ability to work well independently
- Preference for individual currently residing/working in the Southeastern region of the U.S.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established Southeastern U.S. Ag Business searching for a Credit Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the primary focus for this Credit manager will be to perform credit and collection support within the organization. Additional duties to include:
- Working closely with local and extended Credit Staff and Sales Team to meet customer requirements
- Providing knowledge of Agricultural matters to fully protect A/R to minimize loss and maximize cash flow for organization
- Remaining engaged and active in outside credit organizations
- Maintaining good will and good relations with all external and internal partners, customers, and stakeholders
- Providing continuous training of the Credit Staff
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring organization meets its collections goals including percentage of A/R collected
- Managing the team of direct reports and working closely with Sales Team and/or any other internal/external personnel to collect and support activities
- Providing credit worthiness through the review of trade reports, references, and financial analysis
- Analyzing, approving, or rejecting credit applications
- Motivating and educating others on credit management within and outside of the Credit Department
- Monitoring A/R to identify potentially adverse collection issues and to recommend appropriate actions to minimize credit risk
- Preparing reports that add value to our internal business partners
- Maintaining continuing credit management education by attending professional Association Meetings
- Making administrative improvement recommendations
- Making regular customer visits to support Sales Team
- Actively participating in Sales meetings to reinforce Credit and Collection processes and behaviors with our customers
