QUALIFICATIONS:

- Cow/Calf experience required
- Good animal health skills, reading bunks, knowing when cattle are off feed, keeping on schedule a must
- Operating loader, hauling manure and other equipment around the farm
- Calving experience required
- Handle routine maintenance and general repairs
- Good decision maker, communicator, team player, and good record keeper is essential
- College degree is a plus, but experience with a solid and verified work history is better
- Technology minded

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good employee to fill a Cow-Calf/Feedlot Assistant position in Nebraska. This person will assist in a 400 hd cow/calf herd - focused on ET recipient cows and feedyard. Calving, feeding, checking, heat checks, AI and embryo implanting, processing, hay production, cornstalk baling, riding pens and equipment operating will be required. When not busy with the cows and feedyard, person will assist at some of the company's other feedlot locations and on the farming crew during harvest. Must be able to handle bouncing from job to job and be able to think on their feet. This position offers diversity, allowing for different job duties and not just stuck doing the same duties day in day out. Nice Location for Spouse to find employment.
