Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Cattle Operations Manager for a progressive and diversified livestock and farming operation located in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on cattle professional who combines strong livestock management experience with organizational, communication, and computer skills. The employer is seeking an individual capable of helping lead and organize a growing cattle operation while working directly alongside ownership and existing staff.

The operation is well established and continues to grow, creating the need for a stronger management structure focused on improving operational oversight, accountability, communication, cattle performance tracking, and day-to-day management of the livestock division.

Position Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will focus on the cattle side of the operation and include:

• Overseeing day-to-day cattle operations
• Managing and supervising cattle employees
• Reading bunks and monitoring feed programs
• Monitoring cattle health and treatment protocols
• Assisting with receiving, processing, doctoring, and shipping cattle
• Maintaining accurate livestock and operational records
• Utilizing spreadsheets, software systems, and reporting tools
• Providing operational and financial reporting to ownership
• Assisting with inventory tracking and performance analysis
• Coordinating pasture and cattle movement activities
• Helping improve accountability, communication, and operational efficiency throughout the livestock division

This is intended to be a hands-on working manager role, not strictly an office position. The successful candidate must be willing and capable of working directly alongside employees in daily operations while also handling management and reporting responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Strong cattle backgrounding and/or stocker cattle experience
• Experience reading bunks and managing feed programs
• Cattle health and treatment experience
• Leadership and employee management ability
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Computer proficiency including spreadsheets and reporting systems
• Ability to analyze and communicate operational performance
• Stable work history
• Desire for a long-term opportunity

Degree or formal education in Animal Science, Ag Business, or related field would be beneficial, but practical livestock management experience will also be strongly considered.
