QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience working with calves or livestock preferred
- Strong understanding of calf health, nutrition, and development
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work weekends, early mornings, and be on-call as needed
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large dairy operation located in Idaho who are searching for an experienced Calf Manager to take the lead in raising healthy, strong calves.

Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding, watering, and monitoring of calves from birth to 12 months
- Administering vaccinations and medications as needed
- Monitoring calf health and behavior, promptly identifying and responding to illness
- Maintaining accurate records (Software: DHI)
- Ensuring a clean environment/barn, including regular pen and equipment cleaning
- Assisting with calving, colostrum management, and newborn care
- Managing inventory of calf supplies and feed
- Supervising or working with additional calf care staff
- Reporting directly to Owner
