About the Opportunity

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established, independently owned Ag retailer that is expanding its footprint across the central Nebraska region. The company is seeking a self-motivated Ag Chemical Sales Representative to help grow its customer base and support local producers with crop input and protection solutions.

This is an expansion role created by continued business growth and investment in new facilities. The right candidate will thrive in a relationship-driven environment, enjoy autonomy, and be motivated by both service and results.

Position Overview

The Ag Chemical Sales Representative will focus on developing new grower relationships, servicing existing accounts, and driving sales of crop protection products within a defined local territory. The role offers a mix of agronomic advising, customer interaction, and hands-on support during busy seasons.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new grower accounts and business opportunities
- Manage and service existing customer relationships
- Provide crop input recommendations and agronomic support as needed
- Assist with product delivery and warehouse operations when required (unloading trucks, calibrating meters, cleaning equipment, etc.)
- Work independently while meeting sales and service goals
- Travel locally to visit farms and customers within the assigned territory

Qualifications

- Background in Agronomy, Ag Business, Crop Science, or related field preferred
- Previous Ag retail or agronomy sales experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits

- Total compensation range: $60,000 - $120,000+ (performance-based earnings potential)
- Company vehicle, cell phone, iPad, computer, and expense account provided
- Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays

Schedule & Reporting

- Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (extended hours during busy seasons; limited Saturdays)
- Reports directly to the Owner/General Manager
