Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Representative for our growing fertilizer product line.  This role is pivotal in expanding our reach and deepening our market penetration by offering our innovative fertilizer line to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Regular travel within your assigned region is expected to meet with both existing and potential clients, ensuring a strong market presence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by responding to customer inquiries through calls or face-to-face interactions, providing expert advice on our products.
  • Effectively showcase products using samples and marketing materials to highlight their unique features and benefits.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities and customer feedback for strategic analysis and future planning.
  • Report weekly on sales and client interactions keeping close contact with County Manager.
  • Plan routes to maximize efficiency and client engagement.

 


 

Qualifications and Education:

  • GED or a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related discipline is advantageous 
  • Additional certifications in sales or agriculture are beneficial.

 


 

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years in a sales role, ideally within the agricultural sector.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals.
  • Experience in dealing with both wholesale and retail sectors, understanding their dynamics.

 


 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of agricultural products, cultivation methods, and current market trends.
  • Proficient in negotiation, presentation, and closing deals, with skills to customize strategies for various customer types.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with a talent for forging strong connections.
  • Capability to resolve customer issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Competence with technology, particularly CRM software and sales processing tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple client accounts efficiently.
