We are excited for you to apply to our Associate Appraiser position in Howell, Charlotte, Corunna or East Lansing, MI. The position independently completes chattel and/or real estate evaluations and assists licensed appraisers with the preparation of real estate appraisals.

 

Collateral Analysis

  • Assists with valuations of loan collateral.  Includes field inspections, platting from legal descriptions, defining highest and best use, documenting area and property characteristics, identifying environmental risks, applying accepted valuation methods, supporting conclusions, and documenting results in written valuation reports. 
  • Collects, analyzes, documents, and maintains comparable sales information to support land value trends, depreciation rates, capitalization rates, and valuation methods. Includes: searching public records, verifying sale conditions, making property inspections, verifying financing terms, abstracting sale price, platting, and documenting results. 
  • Provides the Associations Financial Services Officers, Credit Analysts and management adequate information to aid in their decision-making process. 
  • Conduct market research to support appraisal, asset valuations, and association policy/procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients.

Appraisal

  • Assists licensed appraisers in completing appraisals for loans greater than delegated authority
  • Conducts appraisal/valuation reviews under delegated authority.

This position requires...

 

  • Bachelor's Degree In business or related field majors preferred.
  • 1+ years of rural appraisal/valuation experience preferred. Agricultural background preferred,
