Our client is a well-established Canadian equipment manufacturer, focused on bringing distinctive solutions to the agricultural and industrial equipment sector.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER

As a Technical Sales Manager, you ll play a key role in developing strong customer and dealer relationships through proactive outreach, frequent travel, and responsive service. You ll manage delivery schedules, resolve production issues, and handle inquiries related to parts, service, warranty, and returns. Proficiency with MRP and CRM systems is essential for generating quotes, processing orders, tracking inventory, and managing customer documentation. You ll contribute to sales forecasting, margin analysis, and participate in trade shows and meetings, while also identifying new business opportunities and supporting product development. All responsibilities are carried out with a strong commitment to communication, efficiency, and workplace safety.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This remote role is a regional opportunity managing 40 to 60 accounts in eastern half of the Prairies and two (2) northern States, while soliciting and establishing 5 new accounts per year. 50% of your time will be spent traveling your territory while the rest of your time will be spent working from your home office.

 

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 4 years in a technical sales-focused role
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a collaborative and positive team approach
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and composure under pressure
  • A background in agriculture and or engineering is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities when interacting with customers
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver s License and be willing to travel extensively regionally and internationally
  • Experience in technical sales is required; however, a strong background in account management and business development, particularly with OEM agricultural equipment manufacturers and on-farm end-users, is even more highly valued.
