Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been engaged to recruit an Assistant Elevator Manager for an opportunity to support and enhance daily grain elevator operations while developing leadership capability within a growing agricultural organization.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE ASSISTANT ELEVATOR MANAGER

  • The Assistant Elevator Manager will support the day-to-day operations of a grain handling facility, overseeing receiving, storage, quality control, and shipping activities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role combines operational leadership with team supervision, including training, coaching, and developing staff while maintaining a strong focus on safety, performance, and continuous improvement. The position also works closely with customers and internal teams to support grain procurement and marketing strategies, while contributing to planning, forecasting, and overall operational effectiveness.

 

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?

  • 5+ years of experience in grain handling, agricultural operations, or a related field, with supervisory experience considered a strong asset
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and hold team members accountable while fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Solid understanding of grain handling, cleaning, and storage procedures, with a commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Proven ability to balance day-to-day operational demands with people leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making responsibilities
  • Post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field is preferred; farming background or hands-on mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
