Our client is a long-established, family-owned company specializing in the processing and trading of speciality crops.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE AGRICULTURAL LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

The Agricultural Logistics Specialist will be responsible for entering purchase and sales contracts, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, and generating and verifying grain settlements, including elevator receipt and contract price verification. This role involves regular communication with customers on both the supply and sales sides. Additionally, you will develop and maintain inventory and contract reports, including position tracking for all commodities managed at the facility. Ensuring compliance with HACCP documentation requirements for the facility and office is also a key part of the role. You will assist with various merchandising and logistics functions as needed.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position will have varying hours depending on the season.

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prior experience in the agricultural industry is an asset.
