Work Location: Remote. As the successful candidate, your office will be home-based within Southwestern Ontario. This role will also require occasional travel to other Gay Lea Foods locations and off-site meetings throughout Ontario.
The pay range for the role is $52,300 to $87,100
Job Scope:
As part of Gay Lea's strategy of providing exceptional service to its shareholders, we are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of a Member Services Representative/Administrative Assistant. This role will be responsible for various administrative duties related to maintaining database records, monthly reporting, and handling member enquiries as well working directly with our current and prospective members.
Reporting to the Manager of Member Relations, this is a combined role of a Member Services Representative and an Administrative Assistant. The Member Relations Team is responsible for maintaining and expanding all aspects of the ongoing relationships with our shareholders.
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications and skills:
- A demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound judgment in order to maintain and respect member confidentiality guidelines and obligations
- Skilled computer user with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Experience managing complex databases and their associated processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Post-secondary education, preferably in business or an agriculture-related program
- Participate in training as required
- Other projects and duties as assigned by Management
- Proof of a valid G Driver's licence is required, along with a reliable vehicle for regular work travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the Manager of Member Relations and team members, complete various tasks including:
- Manage Gay Lea Foods shareholder enquiries with an ability to handle difficult conversations
- Maintain database records and various related duties
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner
- Participate in farm calls with current and prospective shareholders
- Facilitate the sale of shares and debentures
- Attend various industry events and company events as needed
- Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by Management
