Job Description Summary

The student intern will provide office and facility support to the Texas A&M AgriLife Research - Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture.

Essential Duties/Tasks

• Will assist in animal research studies with supervision of lab personnel
• Assist with animal husbandry and specimen collection
• Document experimental procedures accurately
• Assist in analyzing biological specimens using biochemical, cellular, and molecular methods
• Perform other research-related or administrative tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience:
• Junior or Senior currently enrolled at Texas A&M University

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• None

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Professional communications including e-mails
• Customer service attitude
• Exceptionally organized
• Team Player
• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
• Ability to establish effective working relationships

Ability to lift or move light, moderate, and heavy objects. Ability to exert light force.

Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends as needed.
