Join our team as a Summer Intern! Internships are expected to run from June- mid-August, 2025. Applicants must be 21 by the start of internship (June 2025).

Role Responsibilities

  • 30% - Exposure to Regenerative Agriculture principles related to crop production, pasture management, orchard, and garden production. 
  • 30% - Exposure to Wheat, livestock, mushroom, truffle, white oak and corn production and research. They will assist farm team and academic partners in their work.
  • 40% - Provide support for day-to-day Star Hill Farm operations. Individual will experience aspects from planting thru to harvest and culinary/cocktail utilization with our guest experiences. 

 

Qualifications

•    Pursuing degree in Agronomy or Horticulture disciplines, preferably going into Senior year undergraduate (in Fall 2024).
•    Minimum current GPA of 3.0
•    Knowledgeable in Excel, Word and related programs for organizing data and summarizing test results
•    Ability to develop working knowledge of farm/garden equipment operating procedures and maintenance
•    Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently, paying close attention to detail and procedures
•    Strong problem-solving & communication skills, working with others for plan input, clearly documenting
•    Self-starter, flexible, comfortable working in unstructured face-paced environment, and able to manage multiple priorities effortlessly 
•    Team player with collaborative style and good listening skills.  Culturally sensitive and proven ability to understand, and work well with others 
•    Physically fit for work primarily outdoors, which includes long periods of standing, moving, and carrying or lifting to 50 pounds.

•    Ability to demonstrate use of key scientific principles and procedures in day-to-day work. 
•    Work under the broad guidelines set by a manager to learn while working safely 
•    Communicates with supervisor and team members on a regular basis, with schedule updates, and makes recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness improvements. 
•    Communicates with other Maker’s Mark and external personnel as needed, such as Culinary/Cocktail, Innovation, Hospitality and Marketing to facilitate work. 
•    Follows appropriate daily procedures and safety-related activities and carries out assigned duties in contributing to the overall compliance with all
