PRIDE Seeds is currently seeking a focused and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Sales Agronomist Intern for summer 2025.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PRIDE Seeds Agronomy Internship is a 16-week field internship program.  You will be heavily involved in increasing brand awareness and supporting an agronomically focused project in your assigned district (in partnership with your agronomy mentor). Projects could include highly technical tissue sampling initiatives or building sales centered training events (and everything in between).  You will have the opportunity to assist in many day-to-day functions of our agronomy team ranging from documenting agronomic ratings on hybrids and varieties to building training presentations, agronomic collateral, and supporting scouting efforts.

 

Position reports to PRIDE Seeds District Sales Manager and Sales Agronomist.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this internship program, you will have a variety of responsibilities focused on agronomy. You will work with Sales Agronomists and see first-hand what it takes to support farmer relationships, relay agronomic guidance, and develop agronomic research programs. What YOU will do:

  • You will gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas from sales to agronomy. This will give you good exposure to the business!
  • Marketing and Knowledge Transfer: Making agronomic training videos and sales collateral to be used by your local team and or shared on the national branded social media pages.
  • Sales: Aid your mentor and local sales team in supporting your area through various agronomic practices including customer training events, distribution training, farmer field scouting, seed delivery in the spring, field signing, etc.
  • Agronomy: Complete a 16-week agronomic project built with the support of your sales agronomy mentor. Upon finalization of your project present the results to the Agronomy Management and Sales Leaders.
  • Administrative: In every role there is a bit of paperwork required! You will be responsible for tracking records of activities and expenses associated with your agronomic project.
  • You will develop relationships throughout the organization with multiple resource partners, cohorts, and leaders. Building relationships is the core of what we are!
     

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field from an accredited school.
  • Prior agronomic internships or work experience highly desired

REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be in required geographic area.
  • Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, have a valid driver’s license, and meet company motor vehicle requirements.
