First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Loan Closing Specialist position in the Farm & Ranch Division located in Louisville, Kentucky.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Ag Loan Office and management in the performance of the daily duties as outlined below.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED; Associate degree or equivalent business school training; minimum of 2 years equivalent experience; or combination of education and experience.

COMPLEXITY:

• Moderately difficult and involved, requiring adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to cover problems and situations to which their application is not clearly defined. 
• Requires attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and reporting due to impact on customer relations. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing approved loans for closing process and selling into the secondary market. 
• Order, review and clear title commitments by working with attorneys and title companies. 
• Collect preliminary insurance binders, payoffs, flood certifications, UCC searches and debt verifications to prepare for closing.
• Review appraisals to determine collateral and how to properly securitize. 
• Data entry for loan and collateral documentation. 
• Collection and tracking of post-closing documents to complete loan file, i.e. recorded documents and final title policies. 
• Coordinate loan funding, booking and escrow set up.
• Finalize closed loans and image loan files.
• Update and prepare reports.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and imaging software. 
• Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and exercise critical thinking skills. 
• Good telephone and people skills a must. 
• Looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to work independently and works well under deadlines.
