The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person to help spearhead our new title agency team in Jefferson City- Title Services, Missouri. In this position, you will leverage your knowledge of agriculture, lending, title work, legal documents, and general office experience to make a meaningful impact on our customers.

What You Need:
- Experience: 1 year or more in the land title & escrow industry
- Licensing: Willing to obtain a Missouri Title Agent License within 3 months (existing license is a plus).
- Knowledge: In mortgage and commercial loan documentation, title and escrow closing and disbursements
- Skills: Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

This position is primarily located in Jefferson City- Title Services, Missouri. Flexible work environment will be considered after the initial training period is complete and based off of the candidates' qualifications and needs.
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Job Functions*

80% | Title Services Documentation and Closing Coordination: - Process incoming files to include reviewing documents, sales contracts, lender title orders, entering data into title production software, obtaining tax information, and requesting additional title information
- Perform title update searches as needed
- Prepares title commitments and title policies
- Prepares closing documentation such as Settlement Statements, Closing Disclosures, transfer deeds and other docs as needed
- Works with Title Services, Loan Services and Marketplace in resolving title issues
- Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
- Coordinates the closing of an escrow between the principals of the escrow
- Coordinate with underwriters or internal legal counsel as necessary for approval of items, if required
- Reviews closing instructions, escrow letters and various other documents for loan closings
- Coordinates closings with Loan Services and Marketplace staff
- Communicates closing requirements and confirms requirements are met

15% | Customer Service - Answers the phones and assists customers by assessing and interpreting customer needs.
- Responds to customer request and /or identifies staff member who should respond to customer request.

5% | Continuing Education - Attends meetings, conferences and training sessions to understand changes to the title insurance regulations, processes and procedures and to attain and maintain a title insurance producer license

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in the land title & escrow industry preferred
- A Missouri Title Agent License is preferred, or ability to obtain a Missouri license within 3 months of hiring
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Required Knowledge and Skills

- General knowledge of mortgage and commercial loan documentation, loan closing and disbursements
- General knowledge of real estate terminology and contracts
- Communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex issues
- Skill in utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
- Skill in processing complex, detailed information in an accurate and thorough verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to share and exchange information effectively with peers, subordinates, supervisor and both internal and external customers
- Skill in setting priorities to reflect the importance of job responsibilities
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Expert customer service skills, including the ability to communicate complicated information, deliver bad news effectively, and exceed customer expectations
