Our pipeline includes construction projects such as DC right-sizing services, removal and replacement work, and new build installations in both ground-mount and rooftop configurations. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions while maintaining strong relationships with our clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee and manage our commercial projects from inception to completion.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead our commercial construction team, ensuring efficient execution and compliance with industry standards. Leading the effectiveness and safety for multiple site crews, this role involves managing competing project timelines, liaising with customers coordinating teams, and ensuring the successful completion of installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
- Lead and oversee commercial solar projects from planning through execution.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Ensure all installations, including DC oversizing, removal and replacement work, and new build projects, meet quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure optimal project performance and team productivity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and industry best practices.
Client and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and timelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractor, and stakeholder representatives to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns and providing project updates.
Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring resource allocation aligns with project needs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project timelines, work-order lag, team efficiency and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations such as ESA, building permits as they relate to commercial solar construction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction management, preferably in commercial solar or renewable energy projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the new-build solar installations, experience with the removal and replacement processes
- Excellent project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., project management platforms and shop-drawing software).
