Field Service Technician

As a field service technician, you are not only the face of the company, you are the first responder. Field service technicians respond to customer callouts, providing technical service and maintenance support at customer locations. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment out in the field and providing technical service training, when necessary, both in person and by phone. Communication is a critical piece to the field service technician role. Field service technicians must complete the job on time as well as whole and complete in the field.

 

Accountable for:

  • Efficiency levels – measured efficiency targets will be provided by the service leadership team.
  • The integrity of the work performed. All work is to be done whole and complete, no short-cuts. This will be measured by callbacks on jobs completed.
  • Workorder completeness – All work orders are completed according to the work instruction provided by your leadership team.
  • Service truck maintenance – ensuring your service truck has all preventative maintenance completed in a timely manner. The service truck needs to be clean and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

 

Responsible for:

  • Quality customer service – measured by what we promised, by what we delivered and on time.
  • Diagnose cause of malfunction.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
  • Road-test equipment to ensure quality of repair work.
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools.
  • Daily communication with the service writer and/or manager on job status updates.
  • Personal integrity, teamwork, and respectable appearance both in person and in the field.
  • Service leads – getting to know your local customers, determining their needs, and filling them.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
